“Grace found us in the forgotten places.”
In a forgotten corner of the city, an abandoned playground becomes a place of refuge, survival, and unexpected transformation.
In this bold reimagining of Godspell, the story unfolds in a forgotten space now home to people from all walks of life: those battling addiction, the recently incarcerated, a struggling single mom, troubled kids, a devoted Christian family, and the homeless. Each person carries a burden, each has a story.
Into this fractured community steps a mysterious figure—Jesus—radiating compassion, joy, and radical love. Through storytelling, parables, and high-energy music, He brings hope, healing, and unity to people who had long given up on connection or redemption. One by one, walls break down, and lives are opened to change and these outcasts discover a sense of purpose and belonging they never thought possible.
Set entirely within the haunting, graffiti-marked remnants of a once joyful place, this modern Godspell becomes a raw and heartfelt celebration of grace in broken spaces. As laughter and music return to the playground, so too does a sense of purpose, faith, and belonging for a group that society had nearly forgotten.
