The Junior Theater Festival (JTF) is designed for any student who has a strong desire to perform and learn and loves Musical Theater.

Produced by i-Theatrics and sponsored by Music Theatre International, Disney Musicals and Playbill. Junior Theater Festival is the biggest and best festival dedicated to young people and musical theatre.

The Junior Theater Festival brings together people from all aspects of theater, ranging from students and teachers to Broadway professionals, under one roof to celebrate outstanding student musical theatre productions

The festival offers an enthusiastic environment for students and teachers to interact with thousands of others who share their passion for musical theater

Each group performs a selection from a Broadway Junior musical they have performed for professional adjudication by a distinguished panel of international theater professionals.

The Musical Theatre Competitions of America (MTCA) is a dynamic festival where students and schools showcase their talents in group and individual performance categories — from ensemble numbers and showtunes to solo acts, monologues, and even design work in costumes, hair, makeup, and sets!

EVERYONE GETS A CHANCE TO AUDITION FOR MAIN STAGE NUMBERS

Students participate in Broadway-style auditions, receive live feedback through performance clinics, and can attend masterclasses in dance, acting, design, and college prep — all led by Broadway professionals and teaching artists.

The weekend includes fun extras like the MTCA Dance Party, Technical Olympics, and a Broadway concert featuring both special guests and selected student performers.

It’s a weekend packed with creativity, learning, laughter, and unforgettable memories — perfect for performers of all levels looking to grow and shine on and off the stage.

To be eligible, students must be enrolled in a Production Show.
