SYNOPSIS:
Theseus, duke of Athens, after conquering the warrior Amazons in battle, is in turn conquered by the charms of their queen, Hippolyta, and they are now planning to marry. To speed the time until their wedding night, he orders amusements to be staged.
Like other Shakespearian comedies, Midsummer focuses on the characters' situations rather than their emotions. For example, in the play's first scene, rather than dwelling in despair because they are forbidden to be together, Hermia and Lysander focus on a solution and make a secret plan to escape.
The dominant theme in A Midsummer Night's Dream is love, a subject to which Shakespeare returns constantly in his comedies. ... At one level, the story of the four young Athenians asserts that although "The course of true love never did run smooth," true love triumphs in the end, bringing happiness and harmony.

WHAT WE ARE DOING TO MAKE THEATER AS SAFE AS POSSIBLE FOR OUR KIDS
Everything is cleaned and sanitized each day
*KIDS AND TEACHERS ONLY ALLOWED IN BUILDING
*NO hanging out or gathering in the Lobby allowed
*CLASS CHECK-IN will be OUTSIDE on Porch area.
*Classes will wait outside until a teacher escorts them in. Do Not enter the building without a teacher.
*Each child will be given some hand sanitizer upon entering the building and after class as they exit
*Everything will be wiped down after each rehearsal before next group is allowed in the building
*Please do not send your child to rehearsal if they are sick. If a teacher deems a child is not well they will call a parent to pick them up.
*ALL Teachers will be wearing Masks
*MASK are required
*Restrooms- During this time our restrooms will be open Only to teachers and kids in class. if a child must use the restroom during class/rehearsal- only one at a time will be allowed and they will be escorted by a teacher. Teacher will make sure they wash their hands before returning to class. Teacher will wipe down the restroom, doors, etc after child goes back to class.
DROP OFF & PICK UP
Kids will be DROPPED OFF in FRONT- No adults or siblings in building

Let’s move! This class encompasses all the fundamental Broadway dance skills—ballet, tap, and jazz—to ensure that students have solid ground work in their dance technique. Dancers will also explore high-energy audition combinations and a wide range of styles, as well as learn how to apply their technique to their craft.
Learn specialized technique and exercises that will provide a firm foundation for dance specific to Musical Theater
At Purple Box we take a lot of pride in our Dance program.
While all dancers dance for different reasons, dancers who participate in our dance classes will leave with life skills that will assist them in all of their endeavors. Our faculty features high energy, motivating instructors who will ensure that every dancer is challenged and has the opportunity to reach their personal potential. Our teachers are experienced and professional and have been chosen not only for their knowledge of dance, but also because of their passion and patience within the class room.
Our Danced Program is technique based. We do not hold a big yearly Recital.
