CATHY HOLBROOK
Founding Artistic Director & Owner of The Purple Box Theater
Cathy's career as a Professional Director & Producer spans over 25 years.  She has recently returned to Texas from California where for the past 12 years she has produced  & directed  professional and novice actors in numerous original and published stage plays  in North Hollywood  Theaters.   She has received several accolades and favorable reviews from the Hollywood  community.   She has also worked on Hollywood's Christian Film  Project 168 and studied acting techniques based on  the Meisner and Stanislasky Methods.  While in California Cathy also developed many drama ministry  programs for local churches in the Southern Los Angeles area.  Cathy is also the founder and producer of First Light Players, a non profit Christian Community Theater organization dedicated to create new works that explore inspirational live stage productions that make audiences think, feel, laugh and cry leaving them with an experience that awakens them. 
In 1985 Cathy created the Young Theater and Performing Stars of Texas- a youth stage and performing arts school in the Friendswood-Pearland area-where she produced and directed numerous stage plays and musicals annually including "Annie", "Grease", "Oliver", Bye Bye Birdie", "Oklahoma", "South Pacific","Cinderella","Snow White & the 7 Dwarfs", "Little Shop of Horrors","Back to the Beach", "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown", "Little Women" & "Wizard of Oz" , along with monthly performances at various festivals, conventions, and Houston area community events, such as The Houston Freedom Festival, the 1992 Republican National Convention , The State of Maine Republican Delegates Dinner, NASA Employees Annual Family Picnic, Houston International Festival, Friendswood's 4the of July program, Friendswood's Christmas parade and tree lighting, Dickens on the Strand in Galveston, Pasadena's Strawberry Festival, Pasadena's Rodeo, the Bluebonnet Festival in Brenham, Old Town Spring Musical and Heritage Festivals, Rockets half time shows, and annual appearances at major theme parks across the U.S. including Disneyworld Florida, Seaworld, Texas & Florida, Nashville's Opryland, Splashtown USA, Astroworld, and on Premier's Big Red Boat Cruise Ship to the Bahamas.
Recently her Broadway Kids have performed at DISNEYWORLD (2013, 2015), DISNEYLAND (2014, 2016), UNIVERSAL STUDIOS HOLLYWOOD (2014), The NEW AMSTERDAM THEATER, NYC (2015), KAUFMAN MUSIC CENTER, NYC (2016), SIX FLAGS OVER TEXAS (2014,2015,2016)
Many of Cathy's students have worked professionally in Stage, Television, Film, Music and Commercials as kids and as adults.
Cathy lives in Galveston with her husband Bill and has been blessed with two wonderful sons, Jarrod & Shane and 2 beautiful daughters in law, Sorboni and Karley and 3 beautiful grandchildren,  Charlotte, Jase & Emma.    It is Cathy’s desire to see the Truth of Jesus transform lives, and her passion is to share God’s gifts through each class, workshop, showcase and performance.

Victoria is truly excited to work with the amazing talent at The Purple Box Theatre. She has been in performing arts for over 20 years and is thrilled to bring her passion and experience to PBT.  Having performed in many musicals over the years including Cabaret, A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Some Like It Hot to name a few, she brings years of hands on experience as well as having extensive training and attended numerous master classes in Houston and New York. 
One of the only things that she enjoys as much as being on stage herself is teaching young thespians the techniques and history of her beloved theatre and Broadway. Students will get a chance to gain valuable skills for a future in musical theatre. 



MEAGAN ALLEN
DIRECTOR FOR LITTLE THEATER STARS

Meagan has taught children, ages 4-5, at a top private preschool for eight years. In that time she implemented music and theatrical lessons and activities through out the curriculum, including an annual Christmas play that she wrote, directs and produces. She has been active in the community theater circuit, having many leading roles such as Winifred in Once Upon a Mattress, Lucy in You're a good man Charlie Brown, Lucy in Dracula, Josefa in A Shot in the Dark. As well as many chorus/villager/towns person/brunette female #2 roles.  Her specialties are musical theater, comedic acting and improvisational games, with children.



CHASE HARRIS

Chase brings years of experience to Purple Box.  A graduate of Friendswood High School, where he studied under Kathy Powdrell in the theater arts program and was the lead in "Oklahoma" his senior year.  He went on to study theater at the University of Houston.

T'Mar has been involved with musical theater since the 6th grade.  She is a student at the University of Houston where she is studying musical theater and majoring in education.  She is also a member of their Acapella Choir.

Sydney graduated lastMi year from Alvin High School where she was a proud member of the Alvin Jacketeers, serving as Social Chairman in her Senior year.  Sydney started her performing arts career at the age of 9 when she joined Purple Box Theater.  She has been in numerous youth, Teen and Adult shows & Musicals.  She has performed at Disney World, DisneyLand, Universal Studios and in New York City at the New Amsterdam Theater on Broadway.
Sydney attends San Jacinto College where she is working towards a teaching degree and minor in Dance.

Mikayla has been dancing most of her life and Directs a Hip Hop group at her church in Santa Fe.  
Mikayla graduated last year from Santa Fe High School and attends College of the Mainland.
Mikayla was involved with Musical Theater, Choir and Drill Team while attending Santa Fe.

Mylana attends Friendswood  High,School.  She was the recipient of the Theater Production Award at FJH , is an active member of the Future Stars of Broadway and Teens Onstage.  She has performed at DISNEY WORLD-2013, 2 015, DISNEYLAND-2014,2016 UNIVERSAL STUDIOS-2014, NYC The New Amsterdam Theater, The Merkin Concert Hall and Six Flags Over Texas, Junior Theater Festival Atlanta Team and many festivals and events in Friendswood with the Broadway Kids and Future Stars of Broadway.  She has been in many plays and musicals with the Young Theater Stars, Teens Onstage.
